about me

In a nutshell, I am a:
creative technologist // maker // dog lover // feminist // dreamer // iced coffee enthusiast
I am a graduate of NYU Steinhardt where I studied Music Technology with a focus in visual arts. I combine music/sound, science/technology, and visual art in new and exciting ways.
At the most basic level, I’m a creator. Mention multimedia or interactivity, and my ears perk right up. I thrive in collaborative environments where I can combine various art forms to push the boundaries on what has been done before. My strengths lie in brand strategizing and creative technology, but my wide range of personal interests allow me to draw inspiration from a multitude of sources. My aesthetic is refined, yet a little rough around the edges.
The themes I work with most often include elements of:
- Synesthesia
- Pop Culture
- Mental Health Awareness
- Body Positivity & Feminism
- Surrealism

The tools I primarily use are:
- Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro
- Procreate
- Protools
- Canon 70d
- iPhone 13 Pro and iPad Pro

APRIL 2022 update
Well, we are officially past the two year mark of the pandemic. There have been some challenges, sure, but it’s also been a period of tremendous growth.
To recap:
March 2020: I moved in with one of my best friends two weeks before everything shut down and the world ceased to exist as we knew it. What we thought would be a nice break to get settled into our new home quickly turned into a LOT of quality time spent together.
January 2021: Your girl finally got an iPad! After years of creating digital art with a pen tablet and my computer, I can actually draw on a screen now. Look out for more weird art!
April 2021: Welcome to Harlem, Murphy Brown. No, not the famed FYI reporter—a sweet 9 year old cat we adopted from Animal Haven downtown. Spend ten minutes with me and I’ll be sure to mention her at least once.
July 2021: I left my job at Hailify after two and a half lovely years and moved to the world of marketing for private equity clients. Connecting with people I ordinarily wouldn’t have the chance to taught me a lot about what it means to work hard—but also that we’re all human at the end of the day.
September 2021: I usually go back home to Texas twice a year, but because of the pandemic, the last time I went was for Christmas 2019. After nearly two years, I missed my family! Thankfully, I got to celebrate my dad’s birthday with him in person (and go see Harry Styles with my best friend).
December 2021: Masa, one of the owners of Katana Kitten, and I met working at the same restaurant years ago. After I left the restaurant, I became both the nanny for his 5 month old daughter and his wife Taryn’s design assistant. Needless to say, I was a part of the family. So when he called me over Thanksgiving asking if I had the bandwidth to work the door at the number 10 bar in the world, how could I say no?
April 2022: I think that just about sums up the last two years. Life is good! I am in a happy relationship with my best friend, the world is slowly opening back up, my golden birthday is this month, and I can’t wait to see what the next year has in store for me.
DECEMBER 2018 update
Just started a new job, and you'll never guess how I landed it.

My mom and grandma were visiting me in New York for Thanksgiving, and we were in Bryant Park killing some time before going to see a Broadway show. It was SO COLD out, and I was just trying to enjoy my hot toddy in peace when this guy at the table next to ours struck up a conversation. He said he had just started advising this company, Hailify, who has an app for rideshare drivers. My mom (who thinks she's funny) asked him, "Well are you hiring? 'Cause she needs a job." Mortifying.
Anyway, we exchanged information, met up for coffee, and I am now the newest member of the Hailify team!

July 2018 update
FINALLY updated my website. Whaddya think?
For those that don't know, last month I quit my job at the restaurant after a lovely (almost) two years. It was time. I've been taking the time this summer to work on myself, develop my own sense of artistic identity, and just...live? And it's been a blast.
What I've been up to:

- In April I moved into a house with a bunch of amazing humans who I absolutely adore
- I started working with a local crochet artist in her studio and I'm learning a lot about textiles, accessories, and the fashion industry
- job hunting~
- LOTS of nannying
- living my best life
